By providing a structured approach to individual firearms training, this session write-up ensures that each participant receives personalized instruction tailored to their skill level and training goals. This systematic method enhances both safety and skill development in pistol, rifle, and shotgun.

Each 2-hour training session costs $200. A minimum commitment of 2 hours is required.

Safety Briefing

  • Four Fundamental Rules of Firearm Safety:
    1. Treat every firearm as if it is loaded.
    2. Never point a firearm at anything you are not willing to destroy.
    3. Keep your finger off the trigger until you are ready to shoot.
    4. Be sure of your target and what is beyond it.
  • Range Safety Protocols: Explanation of range commands, safe zones, and emergency procedures.

Warm-Up Drills

  1. Dry Fire Practice: Conducted to ensure proper grip, stance, and trigger control without live ammunition.
  2. Sight Alignment and Sight Picture Drills: Ensuring the participant understands and can achieve proper sight alignment and picture.

Main Training Activities

  1. Live Fire Exercises:
    • Basic Accuracy Drills: Firing at stationary targets to assess and improve accuracy.
    • Controlled Pairs: Practicing shooting two rounds in quick succession.
    • Timed Drills: Engaging targets within a set time to improve reaction and shooting speed.
  2. Advanced Skills Development:
    • Drawing from Holster: Techniques for safely and quickly drawing the firearm.
    • Reloading Drills: Practicing both tactical and emergency reloads.
    • Malfunction Drills: Identifying and clearing different types of malfunctions.

Performance Assessment

  • Accuracy: Measured by shot grouping and ability to hit targets.
  • Consistency: Evaluated by the participant’s ability to replicate performance across multiple attempts.
  • Speed: Timed exercises to gauge improvement in reaction and shooting times.
  • Safety: Continuous assessment of adherence to safety protocols throughout the session.
